Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and GMP requirements for facility.
  • Participates in plant QA Systems, HSE (Health, Safety, & Environmental) Systems and SQMS Key Element support.
  • Ensure that quality issues are reported to management.
  • Forklift certification and experience required.
  • Ensures all HSE material handling policies and procedures are fulfilled in daily activities.
  • Transfer finished goods and materials and supports packaging lines.
  • Able to safely load and unload trailers of finished goods or raw materials.
  • Ensure all department tasks documentation is completed
  • Understands warehouse safety and is able to properly secure trailers for loading.
  • Can read and be able to complete Bills of Lading, Shipping Logs and associated documents
  • De-palletizes, stretch wraps, and moves pallets to assigned inventory locations
  • Receives, reconciles inventories and materials, and understands incoming industry receiving practices
  • Understands warehouse processes and knowledgeable in cycle counting practices
  • Stage product – understands shipping process, pick/pack and ship
  • Works closely with transportation drivers to maintain safe dock areas through orderly traffic flow and use of required safety equipment
  • Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
  • Prepares finished goods stock for shipment by identifying, staging, pulling, loading, and securing product.
  • Creates shipping documents for finish goods- inclusive of MO orders, BOL’s.
  • Maintains/Inspects material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Verify that quantities on Purchase Order and Distribution Orders match invoice and bill of lading
  • Complete receiving document(s) as each shipment is received and performs data entry of receipts.
  • Be able to fill out and read labels or hold tags with instruction on disposition
  • Notify Immediate Supervisor/Team of any quality or quantity issues/comments related to shipment     
  • PC knowledge is required.
  • Must be able to pass Warehouse Coordinator II exam within 4 Years of hire date.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Must be able to perform Cycle Counts in inventory by using scanner and pc software.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education - High School or Equivalent (i.e. GED)
  • Critical Reading - Be able to follow instructions, read and understand equipment manuals and procedures.
  • 2-3 years of Warehouse Experience
  • Physical Requirements - Standing continuously for at least 2 – 3 hours at one time. Frequent- Lifting, Rotating and Stooping with up to 5 Lbs. Occasional- Lifting, rotating, and stooping with up to 25 Lbs. Infrequent- Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
