Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

The Trade Planning Analyst will play an integral role in supporting our trade planning, governance, and reporting for the organization. This position heavily supports field sales and agency partners with administration of the TPM tool and to achieve trade targets and financial objectives.

 

Essential Functions

Financial Management

  • Partner with field sales and broker team to align spending withing budgeted trade rates and comply with GTM guidelines
  • Provide support in ways of regular reporting and strategic direction to manage trade targets
  • Support Monthly Trade Reporting process with field sales and finance team
  • Lead and manage the TPM tool, ensuring accuracy and proactively actioning against risks to budget
  • Work cross functionally with Pricing-Promotions Manager to identify opportunities to optimize ROIs within our customer, channel and brands strategies.

 

Strategic Planning

  • Support strategic planning process for Eagle’s trade investment for both Top Down and Bottoms Up Planning
  • Develop Annual budgets for trade spending in collaboration with Trade Marketing, Sales, Marketing, and Finance Department
  • Partner with field sales and cross-functional teams (Trade Marketing, Pricing-Promotion Manager, Marketing, and Finance) to uphold trade strategy that maximizes ROI and eliminates unproductive spending.
  • Manage the monthly quarterly trade forecasts in collaboration with sales and finance

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years experience within a CPG organization, experience in Finance is preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Financial and Trade data
  • Best in class analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of data sources that include trade spend reporting
  • Project management skills and ability to prioritize and multitask against several complex projects at a time
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Travel Requirement: 10% Travel

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regular use of a keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software.
  • Viewing a computer screen for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to manipulate paperwork, including filing, sorting, and organizing.
  • Moving within the office environment to attend meetings, use office equipment, or interact with colleagues.
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies or paperwork (up to 20 pounds).
  • Speaking and listening to colleagues and clients in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing.
  • Working in a climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Performing repetitive tasks such as data entry or document preparation.
  • Working under artificial lighting conditions typical of an office environment, which may include fluorescent or LED lighting.
